It comes with an adhesive cloth for hanging, but the adhesive doesn't stick well to surfaces, so it also has screw holes.
The magnets are very stable and hold the holder securely to the surface.
Time will tell if the adhesive that holds it in place will hold up in dry weather.
I contacted customer service and they kindly sent me a replacement.
