I purchased heavier poles than those that came with the kit.
Oh, and the first time you turn it on, you'd better cover your ears or turn the volume down right away because this machine is very loud, especially if you have wooden floors.
It's up to you, but playing it twice works.
Overall, this is a good piece of kit and I would recommend it for any aspiring musicians in the family.
